Olive Garden started as a single unit of General Mills Inc. The first Olive Garden was started on December 13, 1982, in Orlando. Within a few periods, it is the fastest-growing units in the General Mills restaurant division, olive garden gains the popularity by opening 145 restaurants in the market.

Olive Garden changes its slogans depending upon offers and deals on foods, some of the famous slogans are as follows:

when the company started, Olive Garden’s original and main slogan was “Good Times, Great Salad, Olive Garden”.

This was used when their main focus was an endless salad. During unlimited soup and breadsticks were added to the food, the slogan was changed to “When you’re here, you’re family”.

Pasta Bowl Strategy:

In the fall of 2013, Olive Garden started an advertisement for the “Never Ending Pasta Bowl”, where customers can eat all the pasta they want starting at just $9.99. This slogan created history in the olive garden company were they served  13 million bowls of pasta.

Then in the next year restaurant continued with the new slogan for the new scheme “Never Ending Pasta Pass”, where customers can eat all the pasta they wanted during a seven-week period for just $99. This advertising was limited to the first 1000 people to buy the pass online.

Public responded very well for the Pasta Pass promotion, hence it has been offered every year since.
